.: Racecourse Community School Fundraising Initiative :.

Just Christmas is happening this weekend in Edmonton! We will be there sell various things for fundraising, including new 2010 calendars and some exciting artwork made by folks in the Racecourse Community in Zambia. Thanks to Heather, who transported all these exciting things back to Canada after her recent trip to Zambia! Look below for more details! (Including address and time)

We will be selling:

• hand painted cards – 1 for $7 or 3 for $15 (made by Andrew Kalaya, an uncle to a Racecourse School student)
• canvas paintings – 1 for $20 or 3 for $50 (made by Andrew Kalaya)
• copper plates – $25 (made by Kelvin Mumba, a graduate of the Racecourse School)
• 2010 calendars – $20 (made by Mike Wilson, a Canadian volunteer)

We are also offering some combos:

• card and painting – $25
• card and copper plate $30
• card and calendar – $25

JUST CHRISTMAS is a Global Fair Trade Market where you can find unique gifts & support social justice. Come enjoy great food and entertainment, as well as guilt-free shopping from over 30 different non-profits and charities. It’s happening on Friday, Nov 27, 5:30-9 pm & Saturday, Nov 28, 9:30 am – 4 pm at the Alberta Avenue Community Hall (9210-118 Ave).
